Caroline's Walks

Walking has been proven to have positive health benefits in terms of improving physical fitness and mental health. If you thought walking might be for you then these two easy to follow local walks are worth considering as a gentle introduction, according to Caroline Grainger a volunteer at Skelton. Caroline who drew these two annotated walks for this newsletter, says they can be attempted by most people and are not too demanding. She continues, “I feel it definitely helps my depression and because the exercise isn’t too demanding its easier on the joints than say jogging”. She concludes, “for this walk a pair of good training shoes or something similar should be fine to wear, as the ground is level. Enjoy your walking”.
