Mental Health Promotion Service

The Mental Health Promotion Project works to raise awareness and standards for mental health through Redcar & Cleveland Mental Health Promotion Strategy to address Standard 1 of the National Service Framework for Mental Health by:

  • Increasing public awareness and improving knowledge and attitudes about mental health.
  • Developing our links with agencies in the area to identify initiatives and encourage joint working.
  • Developing initiatives to address the mental health of older people.
  • Tackling mental health policies in the workplace.
  • Identifying young people's needs.
  • Mental health awareness in schools and workplaces.
  • Promoting mental health for women and men.
  • Promoting support for young carers.
  • Developing strategies to address the needs of black and minority ethnic groups.
  • Social interaction for isolated individuals.
  • Ongoing initiatives to reduce stigma and discrimination.

We are sorry to inform you that this service has now ceased due to the end of Neighbourhood Renewal Funding.  Redcar & Cleveland Mind is looking at other funding possibilities to continue this much needed service.

In the meantime, if you need any information about mental health promotion you can contact us by telephone 01642 296052 or e-mail main@randcmind.org or in writing at Dove House, 5 Turner Street, Redcar, TS10 1AY.
