1999 Pilot Arts & Mental Health Partnership with Village Arts. Move to larger premises at Dove House, Turner Street, Redcar. Lottery funding secured for Project Management.
2000 Launch of R&C Mental Health Promotion Partnership.
2001 Redcar and Cleveland Social Services Department Day Services Contract for East Cleveland based at four venues in East Cleveland seven days a week. Investors in People accreditation. Redcar Day Service extended to seven days a week.
2002 Community Legal Service Quality Mark achieved. Welfare Rights Sessions from CAB worker provided at Redcar Day Service and East Cleveland Day Service.
2003 Employment of Mental Health Promotion Worker to develop, support and implement R&C Mental Health Promotion Strategy. Information Worker employed for Healthy Living Centre Advice, Information & Training for Better Health project based at Redcar Health Centre.
2004 Signed up to the Tees-wide Suicide Prevention Charter as sign of our commitment to the Suicide Prevention Strategy. Joined up to the local Social Inclusion Steering Group in response to the Government report on Social Exclusion
2005 Launch of a service user website, achieving 8000 hits a month. Successfully achieved Mind Quality Standards Review
2006 We have been involved in the National Collaborative for Mental Health which is looking to improve primary care services for people with common mental health problems and also the ADVANCE project resulted in having some input into the design of the new St. Luke’s Hospital
2007 Our ‘new look’ Good Mind Guide website @ www.goodmindguide.org was launched with an easier to use format. It continues to offer a fully comprehensive guide to local services and support. The whole organisation was involved in using art to explore and come to a greater understanding of what diversity means. With funding from National Mind, this 12 month project included a drumming CD, sculpture and an animation as well as individual works. The variety of media and the very different contributions emphasised the underlying theme of diversity
2008 - Our new look Redcar & Cleveland Mind website is launched, based on Content Management System with R&C being able to take much more control over the site as result.
Invited to raise awareness of mental health issues to 400 appentices at TTE (Teesside Training Enterprise)
Signed the Menqual Charter to show commitment to employing people with experience of mental health problems.
